Ive never had a silverware set before, been with my husband for almost 12 years. We've been loosing spoons and forks (pretty sure my 4 year old is throwing silverware away) so I needed to replace them. Had two requirements, matte and heavy. I hate flimsy light silverware- it bends easy. This set is sturdy, heavy weighted and true matte. It's absolutely perfect. The kitchen knives are very sharp, I was expecting them to be dull like most but these things are sharp! Hopefully the handle is sturdy, but these things will cut through a steak or pork chop no problem. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, wish I would have done it years ago!
